Religious Education
At New Bradwell School we are committed to providing a high-quality Religious Education (R.E) in alignment with the new Agreed Syllabus developed by Milton Keynes SACRE (Standing Advisory Council on RE), effective from September 2025 and running until 2030. Our curriculum is designed to foster a love for learning in Religious Education, supporting our pupils in their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development. Religious Education plays a vital role in equipping children with the knowledge and understanding of a range of faiths and beliefs, thereby contributing to their personal growth and sense of identity. It encourages pupils to value diversity and engage respectfully with others.
Our R.E curriculum promotes enquiry-based learning from EYFS all the way through to Year 6, allowing pupils to explore profound questions related to existence, morality, and human experience. This serves to enrich the pupils' lives, foster self-reflection, and encourage a deeper understanding of their own beliefs and those of others. By cultivating a culture of respect and understanding, we aim to enhance community cohesion and promote a sense of belonging and tolerance among our students.
Parents have the right to withdraw their child from R.E lessons if they wish to do so. Should you wish to exercise this right, we kindly ask you to inform the Headteacher in writing, so that we can work together to ensure alternative arrangements are in place.
